Warwick, NY Exterior Painting
We were hired by our client to paint the exterior of their beautiful colonial home. Before we started we made sure we protected all landscaping, plantings, hardscapes and other surfaces or items not being painted. The house had not been painted for 15 years or so and was in need of some extensive preparation prior to painting. We began with pressure washing the whole house to remove all surface mold, mildew, dirt and chalk. All peeling and flaking paint was scraped and removed then those areas were feather sanded to promote adhesion of the new coat of paint and to make the paint finish smoother. All trim joints and around window and doors frames were caulked and sealed. Primer was applied to all bare and raw wood. Some rotted trim board were found on the two story bay window at the front of the house. Our carpenters removed the rotted boards and replaced with new trim boards to match the existing. Once all preparation was complete, we applied Premium Sherwin Williams exterior paints and stains to all surfaces. The siding was finished with Woodscapes solid latex siding stain and sealer. The trim, soffits, fascia and doors were finished with Duration exterior enamel coating.
