Westwood is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough’s population was 10,908.
Westwood was officially incorporated as a borough on May 8, 1894, from portions of Washington Township. In April 1909, Westwood was enlarged through the annexation of the “Old Hook” section of the borough of Emerson, and on September 24, 1957, portions of the borough were exchanged with Emerson.
An 18th century mill was later dismantled in 1910. It was situated at the dammed stream near the intersection of today’s Mill Street and First Avenue. The mill was on an important east west pathway and was the first on Musquapsink Brook. After operating for almost centuries, it was nearly ruined by arsonist’s fire and was dismantled.

Professional Painting Contractors In Westwood
When you need a professional painting contractor, you will probably be asking yourself a set of standard questions.
- Are they an established business in the local area?
- Are they qualified to do your type of project?
- How much will it cost me to contract with them to do my project?
You need a pro who will take the whole project into account when working with your budget. For some, the price would be smaller, for others, larger depending on what needs to be done and where.
First, allow for the project to cost more than you originally thought it would. Regardless of which room you decide to repaint, you will typically find your ultimate cost to be about 25 percent higher than your original estimate. The same 25 percent figure also applies to the amount of time it will take to complete the project.
